What do I need to bring with me to the event?
- your dog's rabies vaccination certificate and City Permit (the City Permit is only asked of you if you live in the city limits of Columbus; Alabama residents, Harris County residents, etc. are not required to have this permit)
- your family, friends, and children
- folding chairs or blankets
- money for games, lunch, snacks, & doggie items (proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society)
- props or clothes for the contests (below)
What kinds of things can my dog do at Relay for Dogs?
- Contests - Owner Look-Alike Contest, Ugliest Dog Contest, Best Dressed Contest, Talent Show, Tiniest Dog Contest, Heavyweight Contest
- Socialize and play with other dogs
- Agility obstacle course
- Get a bath and nail trim (pending)
- Have his picture made and be in our 2011 Top Fundraising Dog Calendar Contest (see the Photos and Calendar Contest tab for more information)
What will be provided for my dog at the event?
- drinking water
- kiddie-pools for cooling off
- waste bags (just-in-case)
- bandana
- lots of freebies
